Our Mission<\/span><\/h4>\n

We boast an ambitious yet concrete mission: to strengthen<\/strong> Friuli Venezia Giulia\u2019s Metal and Mechanical Engineering<\/strong> sector in order for it to become an international model par excellence<\/strong>. To do this, we listen<\/strong> to companies, help<\/strong> the FVG Region develop validated and effective specialisation strategies (S3)<\/strong> and we constantly collaborate<\/strong> with public and private entities to build relationships<\/strong> and projects in favour of local businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our History<\/span><\/h4>\n

The company was established more than 10 years ago<\/strong> in Pordenone, Italy as the Development Agency of the Industrial District of Mechanical Components<\/strong>, aka. CO.MEC.<\/p>\n

By 2009, we had already grown by no longer representing just the component companies, but also the thermoelectromechanical companies in Medio Friuli: thus COMET<\/strong> was born. 25 municipalities under our jurisdiction and roughly 1400 businesses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, it was in 2015<\/strong> that the true transformation took place. We became the Metal and Mechanical Engineering Cluster of Friuli Venezia Giulia<\/strong>; we therefore acquired regional<\/strong> competence and started a privatisation<\/strong> process that ended in September the same year with the total liquidation of public shares at face value<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
